Hyperliquid is one of the fastest-growing perpetual trading exchanges in crypto, moving billions of dollars in daily volume. Yet, it doesn’t have an official mobile app. I built one - from scratch - using their public API and WebSocket feeds, bringing real-time trading to mobile users for the first time.
What I built
- A react native app that mirrors Hyperliquid’s desktop performance.
- Live price updates and order book depth powered by WebSocket streams.
- Real-time trades, funding rates, and long/short position tracking.
- Smooth chart rendering, ticker switching, and responsive UI.
- WalletConnect integration for future expansion.
- Caching and offline data persistence.
Tech stack
React Native (Expo) • Native Swift Component • Hyperliquid APIs • TypeScript • WebSocket API • Supabase (for local caching) • React Navigation • Native animations
Why it matters
This project bridges a massive usability gap - Hyperliquid users can finally monitor markets, view open interest, and track trades in real time on mobile. Built entirely with native components for speed and fluid performance.
Impact
Tested across iOS and Android; handles live data streams with zero lag. Users can track prices, trades, and funding countdowns with instant updates.
